Eight months ago I launched Over40Fab with the intention of photographing 40 women. And then… couldn’t lift my camera because life decided to throw a frozen shoulder at me. How unfair! 😩😭

Considering I have to pull out a calculator every time I need to know my age by subtracting my birth year from today’s year, this sexist ailment that attacks (quite ageistically, too) women over 47 made zero sense to me.

Thankfully, it was just my shoulder that got frozen.

But the universe 𝘱𝘪𝘤𝘬𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘰𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘵𝘰 𝘱𝘩𝘺𝘴𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘦.

Because somewhere in my conversations with a few brilliant women who are done shrinking, dimming, and making themselves more palatable, I realized that…

…𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗺𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴.

𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳-𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴.

I self-edited myself for those few months and… disappeared, momentarily.

Only to come back with 𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗜𝗠𝗠𝗔𝗕𝗟𝗘™ where we do portraits of women over 40 who refuse to disappear.

Over the next few days, I’ll finally begin sharing the first women I photographed for this project back in September 2025.

You’ll see—these women cannot be dimmed. 🔥

At a certain age, women are being quietly edited out of the frame.

They become less visible in the imagery around us.

But the women I talk to have no interest in being less of anything.

Women over 40 become more defined. More precise. More themselves.

UNDIMMABLE™ is a portrait series of women who refuse to disappear

culminating in an exhibit that brings these women together.

Only 40 women will be featured in UNDIMMABLE.
